MCFB Foundation Scholarships Available

The Mercer County Farm Bureau Foundation announces that they are offering scholarships to students who are admitted to a post-secondary school during the 2012-2013 school year.  Applicants must be members of the Mercer County Farm Bureau or a dependent of a member of the MCFB.  Applicants must also meet all other eligibility requirements pertaining to the foundation's scholarship program.

Application deadline is March 31, 2012.

MCFB To Offer Crop Insurance Program

Join the Mercer County Farm Bureau Marketing Committee on Thursday, February 23 at 6:30pm in the MCFB Basement. Doug Yoder, Illinois Farm Bureau Senoir Director of Marketing and Risk Management, will have a presentation on Federal Crop Insurance prices as well as the new changes to Federal Crop Insurance.  Be sure to join us.

FSA Increases Guaranteed Loan Limit

The USDA Farm Service Agency announced that the loan limit for the Guaranteed Loan Program will increase to
$1, 214,000. The limit is adjusted annualy based on the "Prices Paid To Farmers Index" compiled by the National
Agricultural Statistics Service.
